| Description | Medicago AB Products Are Available Worldwide. For Research Use Only. Anionic detergent that denatures secondary and non-disulfide-linked tertiary protein structures. Applies a negative charge to each protein in proportion to its mass. SDS binds in a ratio of approximately 1.4 g SDS per 1.0 g protein, unfolding it to give a near-uniform negative charge along the length of the polypeptide chain. As a result, the distance of migration through the gel in SDS-PAGE electrophoresis can be assumed to be directly related only to the size of the protein. More than 99% pure. One tablet weighs 0.5 g and can be dissolved in deionized water to the desired volume. |
