| Description | SLIT2 Polyclonal Antibody. Slit homolog 2 proteins (SLIT2) are ligands for the Roundabout (Robo) receptors and act as molecule guidance cues in cell migration. Slit1 and Slit2 are essential for midline guidance in the forebrain by acting as repulsive signals preventing inappropriate midline crossing by axons projecting from the olfactory bulb. Slit2 protein is expressed in fetal lung and kidney, and adult spinal cord. Weak expression is also noticed in adult adrenal gland, thyroid, and trachea. SLIT2 is a target for repression by EZH2 and is up-regulated in prostate cancer. |
