EGF contains three intramolecular disulfide bonds and binds in high affinity to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). The recombinant EGF-Biotin conjugate has an N-terminal leader sequence containing a biotin molecule. There is half of a biotin molecule per EGF protein. The biotin conjugate does not alter the biological activity of the EGF protein. |
