| Description | Rabbit Anti-Human DMRT1 polyclonal antibody for WB, IHC. DMRT1 (Doublesex and mab-3 related transcription factor 1), a 39.4 kDa protein, acts as a transcription factor and plays a key role in male sex determination and differentiation by controlling testis development and male germ cell proliferation. DMRT1 maintains SOX9 and suppresses FOXL2 expression in postnatal Sertoli cells, which prevents feminization of males. DMRT1 mutants can become feminized during the first postnatal month. Defects in DMRT1 have been linked to testicular germ cell tumors. |
