| Description | Dihydrolipoyl Dehydrogenase (DLD) is a mitochondrial enzyme that plays a vital role in energy metabolism in eukaryotes. It is a flavoprotein enzyme that oxidizes dihydrolipoamide to lipoamide. The DLD homodimer functions as the E3 component of the pyruvate, α-ketoglutarate, and branched-chain amino acid-dehydrogenase complexes and the glycine cleavage system, all in the mitochondrial matrix. BioVision's DLD ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of DLD in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of DLD captured from the samples. |
