| Description | Purity: > 90% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT, 50% glycerol, 1mM EDTA, 0.2M NaCl. CDCA8, also known as Borealin, is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC). The CPC complex has essential functions at the centromere in ensuring correct chromosome alignment and segregation and is required for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. In the complex, CDCA8 protein may be required to direct the CPC to centromeric DNA. Deletion of CDCA8 delays mitotic progression and causes kinetochore-spindle to mis-attach. Recombinant human CDCA8 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
