| Description | This cell line was established from a pancreatic carcinoma of ductal origin from a 56-year-old male. Cells possess the type B phenotype for G6PD. The Y chromosome could not be detected in this cell line by short tandem repeat (STR)-PCR analysis, due to the increased genetic instability of cancer cell lines. Growth is inhibited by 1 unit/ml L-asparaginase. The cells will grow in soft agar. |
