| Description | Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a signaling messenger involved in endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis. VEGF mediates progression of Diabetic retinopathy as well as cancer metastasis. BioVision's human VEGF ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. A mouse monoclonal antibody specific for human VEGF is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and VEGF present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat specific for VEGF is added subsequently.
