| Description | Purity: > 95% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.5) containing 20% glycerol, 1mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl, 0.1mM PMSF. The SIRT6 is included in class IV of the sirtuin family, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, in yeast sirtuins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing. Also SIRT6, a chromatin-associated protein, appears to be involved in DNA repair. Recombinant SIRT6, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques. |
