| Description | Mouse Anti-FTH1 Recombinant Antibody (3F8). This product is a mouse antibody that recognizes FTH1. The antibody 3F8 can be used for immunoassay techniques such as: ELISA, WB. This gene encodes the heavy subunit of ferritin, the iron storage protein ferritin is a complex of 24 ferritin light chain (FTL; 134790) and ferritin heavy chain (FTH1) subunits in ratios that vary in different cell types. FTH subunits exhibit ferroxidase activity, converting Fe(2+) to Fe(3+), so that iron may be stored in the ferritin mineral core, which prevents undesirable reactions of Fe(2+) with oxygen.
