It mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells and binds to alpha-2, 6-linked sialic acid. This protein localizes in various compartments such as membrane fraction, extracellular region and so on. Recombinant human SIGLEC6 protein, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
