| Description | Purity: > 90% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0) containing 40% glycerol, 0.1M NaCl, 1mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF. Endonuclease III, also known as nth, is a DNA repair enzyme that has both DNA N-glycosylase activity and AP-lyase activity. The DNA N-glycosylase activity releases various damaged pyrimidines from DNA by cleaving the N-glycosidic bond, leaving an AP (apurinic/apyrimidinic) site. The AP-lyase activity cleaves the phosphodiester bond 3' to the AP site by a beta-elimination, leaving a 3'-terminal unsaturated sugar and a product with a terminal 5'-phosphate. Recombinant E.coli nth protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. |
