| Description | Rabbit polyclonal to CD14.Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 is a cell membrane protein and a component of thelipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor, a multi-protein complex containing at least CD14, MD-2 and TLR4.CD14 cooperates with MD-2 and TLR4 to mediate the innate immune response to bacteriallipopolysaccharide (LPS). CD14 acts via MyD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-Bactivation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. CD14 up-regulates cell surfacemolecules, including adhesion molecules. |
